We all have an idea of what our perfect office space looks like right?
Iniwoo.net did a great post about it recently, and I was hard pressed to pick my favourite out of the 25 that he showcased.
Eventually, I had to pick just one, and this was it:
What I liked the most, was the synthetic grass, the bright colours, the light airy space and then the cool touches like bicycles to get around between meetings.
Ultimately though, my dream office space looks more like this:
I *love* orange. It’s not a color that a lot of people identify with, but its vibrancy just inspires me! So while this office space isn’t large enough to warrant the use of bicycles between meetings (which is so cool, I can’t even tell you), so I’d probably have to invest in a couple of top fat burner products to keep the weight down, because such an inviting workspace is likely to keep me seated at my desk and not active enough physically.
Something I *really* like in the Ugly Betty office space is their use of transparency.
See how the use of transparency totally makes the spaces flow into one another? Again the use of orange is brilliant in tying the spaces together. I especially like the transparent orange dividers between two desks. Of course, even though they’ve covered up the apple logo on the iMacs, with a MODE logo, they’re still so unmistakably stylish that we couldn’t possibly think they were something else.
Lastly, again with the orange, the perfect complement to this, is the use of my all time favorite color, purple, since they are directly opposite one another on the color wheel. As illustrated below.
Now, all those beautiful round doorways, just need one more thing. Automatic swoosh-open-sci-fi style transparent doors!
So what does your amazing-and-doesn’t-have-to-be-realistic-in-anyway office space look like? Mine would definitely include firemans poles, slides, foam rubber pits (with diving boards) for walking the plank when you just can’t take it anymore…
